Mount Hyjal, Mal Katai, Honorshammer, some other guy and I

I like long titles. So I was all getting herbs so that I can learn to get other herbs when Honors told me he would be doing Hyjal trash with Mal Katai and that he would drop when it was time to do arenas (I also like run on sentences). I let him know that if they wanted a moonkin I'd like to go. A few minutes later I got my invite.

As you may have guessed from the title it all Mal Katai except Honors and I, them some other guy joined when I wasn't looking. Long ago I was part of a pug that did Hyjal, wiped on Winterchill a couple of times but that was about it. Having my only aoe on a 1 minute cooldown made the trash less than fun than it could have been. I didn't have that problem this night. I was top overall dps despite being killed before I cast a spell on Winterchill (I did zero damage on that fight). I'll enjoy this, as the incoming nerfs would have lowered that a bit if they were on live. Also when playing with 23 people you don't know it's nice to do well.

Trinket, starfall, hurricane = much damage. After the next patch the mana return on hurricane will be removed. I don't how much of a difference that would have made. I was full on mana after every pull, I don't how long it would have taken me to go oom.

As far as the bosses go, Winterchill Ice tombed me and I didn't make it. I was the first to die on the fight but the other druids had already used their battle rezzes somehow. He was still easily downed I didn't take a screen shot as wasn't involved in the kill and passed on the leather spell power bracers that no one else wanted. It was said before hand that all loot was free roll, I had just as much of a chance as any guild memeber, which I thought was nice. They would have been a large healing upgrade but I didn't want to end up with 2 pieces of loot if ended up with something I wanted for my main set.

Then there was the next boss whatever his name was. He summoned infernals that had to be tanked by someone in fire resist gear (Honors) and made people sleep. The first attempt we didn't have enough dps on the infernals and we wiped. I was a good 400 dps ahead of everyone else on this attempt. With the current state of things moonkin single target dps is quite high, and switching targets is bad. You use your spell power trinket and pop moonfire, it ticks over 800 (glpyhed) and you spam starfire (glyphed so it refreshes moonfire) till the thing dies. Don't worry everyone, it's been nerfed. The second attempt all ranged switched onto the infernals and we killed that guy. He dropped some fancy leather spell power boots which somebody got and a sword that Honors didn't get.

Then we took off for the horde camp and some folks mined some gem veins that had epic gems in them, I decided against it. There's Thrall and I, he's dressed better than he was in Old Hillsbrad. The trash for the next boss was a bit more complicated then than trash we faced so far. There were gargoyles to be kited down and frostwyrms to tanked by a lock.




The next boss was really easy, just a dps race. He blows up people who have less than 3000 mana. Which wasn't a problem for me, I don't know about other folks. He was pretty tall though, which was kinda of scary.

Next was Azgalor, everyone wanted him to die for some tier 6. He didn't though, he wanted us to die so we would have to do all the trash again. Figuring it would get too late and we would call the raid eventually. His plan worked, we had three attempts and we got him to about 50% or so. He does some stuff that makes you die, and a silence that stops me from pew pewing which makes me cranky.

Anyway it was nice to try something new before the expamsion came out. The folks of Mal Katai were a cool to raid with. No one on vent made me wish I was deaf or was whoring loot. They had 2 progression kills on this run which is fun to be a part of as well. So, I can't think of how to end this post. I think it's going really well, but I don't want to mess it up with poor effort on the conclusion. I should stop worying about it and make sure I don't have any stupid typos those are embarrasing. Yeah, that's all.
